Work expense claims are forbidden at work, get back to work

Here's something that happened one time at work.

Parking at a certain place of work is ferociously expensive but like all pharmacists I was entitled to reclaim my expenses. That word "entitled" is very important.

At £20 per day, there's no way I wasn't going to claim it back. The problem is, IT at my pharmacy chain sucks. A lot. Only recently was access to Google search engine unblocked. To reclaim your expenses (or do almost anything) you need to be at work, in front of a company PC. This is also a very important point.

When I tried to set aside 5 minutes to do my expense claim, the store manager got very annoyed. Apparently, it was inappropriate for me to use work time at her branch to do expense claims.

"Can’t you do that another time?"

Not really. Also, please tell your assistant manager to stop timing how long I take to go to the bathroom. He is being really inappropriate.

Such baffling logic. I’m entitled to use company IT to claim my expenses, yet these vicious degenerates were giving me flak. They make the Tories look gentle in comparison.

I guess I'll just have to do my claims after work. No, wait, I can't.
