I've wanted this for a while and I finally found one for a decent price on eBay. It's the "Famous Cover" Iron Man figure, made in 1997. These were a series of figures with an old school look and were a nod to the Megos from the 1970s. Now I'm too young to have played with Megos, but I really like the way this figure looks.
Okay, he may look pretty lame next to some of the stuff that's available today. Also his yellow "armour" is just fabric, so he looks like he's wearing spandex. However you can't beat the Silver Age look or the deliberate homage to Megos.
Articulation wise, he's not bad. You can strike some decent poses with this guy. Plus, his mask comes off to reveal an excellent likeness of Tony Stark. Great, very Caesar Romero.
This one is a welcome addition to my shelves. My shelves are full right now, so he'll have to sit in my wardrobe. Sorry Tony.
