dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun -- OOOO EEEE OOOO, OOO-OOO-OOO!

I'm getting psyched up for the Doctor Who Anniversary (despite certain misgivings I have). Apart from going on and on about this to everyone I know (and thus driving them mad) and watching every trailer available,  I'm also reading "Doctor Who: The Vault", a big hardback volume published by the BBC.

The BBC have published a meaty archive/picture book celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who. This beautifully produced volume is jam packed with  photographs, props, costumes designs, notes and memos. I love picture books and this is another one I'll be lovingly leafing through this autumn.

"An Adventure in Space and Time", the upcoming docudrama, also looks fantastic.

In case anyone hasn't noticed (including those I've frustrated with my constant pratting), I'm a Doctor Who fan. However, being a relative noob (I was won over by the performances of Tenant and Smith) I've only ever sampled a small selection of old Who. So, this week will be dedicated to time travel. I'll be watching my new DVDs and enjoying hours upon hours of Tom Baker. No, I won't be spending hours and hours with the actual Tom Baker. That would be weird.
