Toy showcase: Hot Toys Joker 2.0

Toys. Action figures. Call them what you will. I fell in love with 1:6 scale figures last year and my collection has been growing ever since. Since this is my blog and I get to write whatever the hell I want, I'll start a "Toy showcase". Not a long drawn out review, but a simple look at some amazing figures and why they're amazing. To kick things off, here's Hot Toys' Joker 2.0.

I got the Joker (hmmm, love the smell of parcels) back in August. One word to describe this figure. Amazing. It's scarily lifelike and made all the better with the moveable eyes and an alternate laughing head. The paintwork on the heads look like grease paint and a closer look will reveal wrinkles and pores. It's all disgustingly good looking. Photos do not do him justice, but here's me trying.
The shirt and waistcoat are brilliantly tailored. Anyone who's familiar with Hot Toys will know what a great job they do on the cut and sew for outfits. It's like they've got some tiny tailors doing the work here. That's not an exaggeration.

The coat my Joker is wearing comes from an earlier release (the DX01). I wasn't happy until I replaced the fuzzy, bright purple thing that was included with the Joker 2.0. Some people will disagree, but I much prefer the darker and more realistic looking garment.

The Joker comes with a ton of accessories, all stunningly detailed. I myself like to pose him with a knife in one hand, looking utterly psychotic.
