Medicom Link customised

Medicom made a neat Link figure (Yes, I still say "neat", it's in vogue. Among some people...). The only problem? That fuzzy tunic. I've become somewhat adept at customing my figures, so ordered one of KC Design's handmade tunics. Note: thanks to the people on Sideshow Freaks for showing how to do this.

First of all, Link's head needed to come off. The belts and harnesses had to be taken off too, but these are held together by glue. I had to do a bit of aggressive breaking at certain points. Not for the faint hearted.

A comparison of the old and new tunic.

As you can see, under the tunic is a plain shirt and mock chainmail.

A bit of work, but worth it! The tunic is more form fitting, the material is thinner and will be much easier to clean come dusting time. Overall, a big improvement. Link can save Hyrule in style!
