In Colt Express, a game set in the Wild West, you play as one of a number of bandits trying to rob a train of its riches. This is far from simple and this game can descend into an amazing series of events, full of shooting, brawling and stealing.
Taking place on a charming cardboard train that needs to be assembled, players take turns playing their action cards. This allows them to move, climb up and down carriages, shoot and brawl with each other and of course, steal. Sounds simple, right? Except, your action cards aren't resolved until everyone finishes playing their cards.
This deck of cards is then flipped over and revealed one by one. Your actions and those of your fellow bandits are now played out in sequence, with no changes. I repeat, NO changes. After the ensuing chaos, you start again and play a new round.
It's become an instant favourite in our group. However, I wish people would stop ganging up on me. Stop punching me between carriages and shooting me at the same time! Really...
